My mum has been diagnosed with gastric cancer in the advance stages 2 weeks ago. It has spread to other parts of the organ. Just like Veronica, I’m getting married in Oct’07.. Life is tough with a sudden news like this.

My mother was diagnosed in the late 80’s, she went through many stages on the PD. With times, when she became very advance in her disease, I was curious if she was still bright due she was not able to do much and was at the incontinent stage and could barely talk.

My spouse is 48 years old, and is entering into full-blown HD
[Huntington’s Disease] stage. The most difficult thing to deal with as her spouse, is accepting and understanding the tremendous neurological and psychological changes she has (as still is) been through.

My Husband got Diagnosed with Parkinson’s 3 Years ago at the young age of 45. I was so upset I did not knoew what to do. This as all of you folk out there know is a unfair disease that no know seems to know much about or how to stop it and there is no cure.

- Results of a stroke - by RG - (Mon, Jul 23 2007)
I had an ischemic stroke. Apparently a very slight one since I am almost 100% back (maybe 97%). I feel very lucky especially when I see other stroke victims at rehab. Thank you God.
What my real reason for writing this comment is some things I have noticed during rehab.

my mom is failing fast and all some of my siblings are talking about is money. They are jealous because I have power of attorney over my mom. They’re not thinking about what’s best for her.
