Neck Problems

by: Barb on Sun, Jul 22 2007

For the past 5 months i have had neck and head pain. The most unusual pains in my head and it scared me. i could not turn my head side to side good and the pains were actually making my head sore and hurt when I would lie down or put my head back in the chair. And it felt like fire or pins along my neck, behind my ears and at the base of my skull.

We tried muscle relaxers and some mild pain meds but it kept going so we finally did an mri and there is a herniated disc, something like a bulge in the spaces or a constriction of the tunnel the nerves go through.

I was scared enough, but the technical terms have really got me. I will go see a neurologist in the next week or so and i won’t know what to expect and i know it is a nerve thing now and i am so apprehensive…. any thoughts?
